An important part of the creative process for Soft Focus is thinking about all the ways + all the reason + all the places that you can wear our loungewear. We like to think beyond the bedroom.

Which also means we think about those occasions that might make you want to treat yourself to something extra special to wear for your leisure time. Weddings have always been top of the list. It's a day where almost every element of what you do, what you wear + who you’re with is intentional, meaningful and forever-memories in the making.

So when we designed the robes + lounge sets for Soft Focus, we thought about you on this day. It’s the robe you wear as you’re getting your hair + make-up done alongside your closest pals in the hours leading up to the ceremony. Or the special piece you gift to your mama-of-the-bride or maid-of-honour for all the love + support + late nights crafting centrepieces that they helped with. Adding a robe or lounge set to your “honeymoon trousseau” feels less cheesy boudoir + more sensual, understated, comfortable you. Then pack the robe for your travels to wear as a beach cover-up during the day + as a light jacket over a sundress for a casual dinner out. We designed this to make you feel special + look effortlessly like your best you.

With all this said – since the earliest days of dreaming up Soft Focus we always knew we wanted to sell the line at Loversland. It's the coolest bridal boutique in Toronto. The shop finds a way to keep all of the fantasy + frip of the traditional wedding world while having a thoroughly modern take, and the playful space they've created is located in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the city. There’s The Haven in the back of the shop – a tent/enclave draped in lace and lined wall to wall with wedding dresses from indie + less discovered lines. The rest of the shop services the entire experience + community to surround the big day. Cool RTW pieces for the rehearsal dinner or engagement party (or any day really). Accessories, lingerie + swimwear to accent your outfit or add to your wedding wardrobe. Then there’s perfume, candles, skincare, stationary + some "fun toys" to gift or bring along for the honeymoon. And within all of this, there's a lot of very cool Canadian brands taking up space on their racks + shelves. Happy to say that Soft Focus is now one of them.

Skincare by Province Apothecary – We’re long time fans of this Canadian made (and sourced) natural skincare brand. The clear skin spot treatment + brow serum are our must-haves.

Lingerie + Swim by Fortnight – Whether you’re bosom is teeny, plentiful or somewhere in-between Fortnight's pieces fit beautifully + are impeccably made. Personal faves include anything in the Vega lace + the maillot is the most perfect one-piece swimsuit.

Jewelery + Accessories –  Falling for the selection of gold hair pins + combs to accent a casual, soignee hair-do.

Peak through drawers of unique charms + stones + mini plaques at Anice Jewelry to create a custom keepsake. Their jewelery workshop is in the store so they can make a piece for you on the spot!

Then wind down + celebrate a successful afternoon of shopping with a glass of wine at Montgomery's or a beer-to-go from Bellwoods Brewery bottle shop + head to the park for a hang.
